Three robots work in unison to mount protective cardboard coverings to any standard package size. Skew, wedge, and position detection routines are performed by the robots to ensure that the cardboard is perfectly applied to the product every time. When necessary, the outer robots can also reload their staple cartridges automatically, removing the need for operators to access the cell.
